The spiced ginger puffs cookie recipe could be dubbed “the melting pot” of cookies. This treat combines molasses, raisins, sour cream, walnuts, ginger, and other spices!
Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 cup molasses
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Lightly grease cookie sheets; set aside.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground ginger, ground allspice, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg; set aside.
Step 4: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
Step 5: Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 6: Beat in molasses and sour cream.
Step 7: Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Step 8: Stir in raisins and chopped walnuts.
Step 9: Drop by tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets 1 inch apart.
Step 10: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Transfer cookies to cooling surface.
Makes 90 cookies.
