The snowy chocolate crescent cookie recipe is very simple but will still wow them in both taste and looks!
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and cocoa powder; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed.
Step 4: Add vanilla extract and egg, beat until smooth.
Step 5: Add flour/cocoa mixture. Blend on low speed until well mixed. The dough will be dry and crumbly.
Step 6: Shape a level tablespoon of dough into a 3 inch long log. Slightly bend to form a crescent shape. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
Step 7: Bake 15-17 minutes or until the outside of cookie is hard but center remains soft. Cool on cookie sheet 2-3 minutes and then transfer to cooling surface.
Step 8: Place 1/2 cup of powdered sugar into small bowl. While cookies are still warm, gently roll them in the powdered sugar to coat.
