STEP BY STEP COOKING
Cooking time: 20 min
STEP 1:

How to make a salad with crab salad with cheese and tomatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Instead of crab sticks, you can take shrimp or crab meat. I have feta cheese, you can use any other you like. And, if you want, replace the parsley with dill. Wash vegetables and greens in advance and dry. Defrost sticks if needed.
STEP 2:

Crab sticks cut into slices.
STEP 3:

Feta or any other soft cheese cut into medium cubes.
STEP 4:

Cut the tomatoes into medium cubes or quarters. You can replace large tomatoes with small cherry tomatoes. It will be enough to cut them in half.
STEP 5:

Peel the garlic and pass through a press.
STEP 6:

Finely chop parsley (or dill, other herbs of your choice).
STEP 7:

Prepare ingredients for salad dressing. I use olive oil, but any vegetable oil will do. Lemon juice can be replaced with lime juice or lemon juice.
STEP 8:

Combine olive oil with lemon juice, salt and pepper in a separate bowl. Lightly beat the mixture with a fork or whisk until smooth.
STEP 9:

Put chopped crab sticks, feta, tomatoes, parsley and garlic in a salad bowl.
STEP 10:

Pour dressing over salad and toss gently.
STEP 11:

Serve the salad immediately, it is delicious when fresh. Enjoy your meal!
This salad can also be made with mayonnaise by layering or mixing the ingredients in a salad bowl. Such a salad will turn out to be more high-calorie, but no less tasty.
The salad will look beautiful and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape (for example, cubes).
Tomatoes choose juicy, but dense. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well; in the process of cutting and cooking, they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
How to buy crab sticks? Be sure to pay attention to the expiration date of the product. Surimi meat (minced white fish) should appear in the list of ingredients in the first place. Important! Do not buy the product if it has frost on it. This is a sign of a refreeze. Fresh sticks should be free of gray and yellow spots, resilient and slightly moist. If the product is sticky, then it is spoiled.
The film in which each crab stick is wrapped is sometimes difficult to remove. To facilitate the process, hold the sticks over the steam for 1-3 seconds.
