Dream Bar Recipe

This Dream bar recipe will definitely give chocolate lovers a good night sleep. The rich inside is full of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips, and the top is one more layer of melted chocolate


Bottom Layer:
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/3 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup all-purpose flour

Middle Layer:
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup (6 ounces) milk chocolate chips

Top Layer:
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

13×9-inch baking pan
Medium bowl
Large bowl
Microwave safe bowl

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In medium bowl, with electric mixer mix brown sugar and butter.
Step 3: Stir in 1 cup of flour.
Step 4: Press into 13×9-inch ungreased baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until light golden brown.
Step 5: Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix eggs, 1 cup brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Step 6: Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour, the baking powder, and salt.
Step 7: Stir in semi-sweet chips and 1 cup of milk chocolate chips.
Step 8: Spread mixture over hot crust. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely.

Top Layer:
Step 1: In microwave safe bowl, melt milk chocolate chips and oil.
Step 2: Drizzle chocolate over bars, refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting bars.

Makes 32 bars.
