The crispy chocolate chip cookie recipe is a fun way to kick-up the flavor of a traditional recipe!

2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup crushed potato chips

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; set aside.
step 3: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oil, and sugars with an electric mixer set on medium speed.
Step 4: Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
Step 5: Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture.
Step 6: In a small bowl, combine milk and vinegar. Stir into cookie mixture.
Step 7: Stir in chocolate chips and potato chips.
Step 8: Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 9: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer cookies to cooling surface.
Makes 80 cookies.
