Cranberry Frosting Recipe

The cranberry frosting recipe is a fruit flavor that is not commonly used in frostings, but it should be, it compliments many cookie great!

Ingredients
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoon whole cranberry sauce
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Hardware
2-quart saucepan
Large bowl
Mixer

Step 1: In a 2-quart saucepan, stir milk and flour together to form a paste.
Step 2: Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens; chill until cold.
Step 3: In a large bowl, cream butter with electric mixer set on medium-high for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add sugar and beat well.
Step 5: Beat in the milk mixture.
Step 6: Beat in the cranberry sauce and vanilla extract for 5 minutes.

Makes about 3 cups.

Note: A few drops of red food coloring can be added to achieve a more vivid color.
