The chocolate peanut butter scone recipe tastes great! You can’t go wrong when mixing these two flavors together!
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Semi-sweet chocolate bar, cut into 8 equal pieces

3-inch-diameter round biscuit cutter or drinking glass
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: With pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into 1/4-inch size pieces and stir them into flour mixture.
Step 4: In a small bowl, stir together the peanut butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Step 5: Add the peanut butter mixture to the flour mixture and stir to combine. The dough will be sticky.
Step 6: Using flour if necessary, pat the dough into 1/2–inch thickness on cutting board.
Step 7: Using a floured 3-inch-diameter biscuit cutter or drinking glass, cut out rounds from dough. Gather scraps together and repeat process until there is a total of 16 rounds.
Step 8: Place 8 rounds on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 9: Top each round with a piece of chocolate.
Step 10: Place remaining circles of dough on top. Press edges gently to seal.
Step 11: Bake for 17-19 minutes, or until lightly browned. Transfer to cooling surface.
Makes 8 scones.
