How can you go wrong with a chocolate peanut butter cookie recipe? You can’t! Enough said.
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup cream peanut butter
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces milk chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
30-40 shelled peanuts (optional).
Microwave oven safe bowl
Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Step 2: Line cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
Step 3: In microwave safe bowl melt semisweet chocolate; set aside to cool.
Step 4: In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 5: In a large bowl, combine the brown and granulated sugars, then add the butter and beat until well combined.
Step 6: Add eggs and vanilla and beat until just combined.
Step 7: Add the flour mixture and the milk chocolate chips, and beat until no streaks of flour are visible.
Step 8: Pour in the melted chocolate and mix with wooden spoon until marbleized.
Step 9: Drop the dough in 3-tablespoon mounds 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. If desired top each mound with 1-3 peanuts.
Step 10: Bake for 23 minutes, or until just set. Cool on cookie sheet for 1-2 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack.
