The chocolate layered brownie recipe is features white and semisweet chocolate morsels along with caramel and chopped pecans sandwiched between two layers of rich cocoa batter!
Ingredients
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs, divided
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Lightly grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, and salt; set side.
Step 4: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
Step 5: Add 2 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.
Step 6: Beat in vanilla extract.
Step 7: Gradually beat in flour mixture. Reserve 3/4 cup of batter.
Step 8: Spread remaining batter into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Step 9: Sprinkle chopped pecans and white chocolate chips over top.
Step 10: Drizzle caramel topping over top.
Step 11: Beat remaining egg into 3/4 cup of reserved batter.
Step 12: Stir in semisweet chocolate chips.
Step 13: Spread batter carefully over top of caramel topping.
Step 14: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely before cutting onto bars.
Makes 16 brownies.
