This chocolate chip jar mix cookie recipe tastes so good and is easy to make, it should be at the top of your gift making list.
Ingredients
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
Hardware Whisk
Large bowl
1-quart Mason jar
Funnel (optional)
Paper for tag
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and white sugar.
Step 2: Pour half of the flour mixture into Mason jar.
Step 3: Pour chocolate chips into Mason jar.
Step 4: Place brown sugar in jar on top of chocolate chips
Step 5: Pour remaining half of the flour mixture into Mason jar.
Step 6: Attach tag with the following instructions.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Empty contents of jar into a large bowl; set aside.
Step 3: In separate bowl, combine 3/4 cup softened butter, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat until creamy.
Step 4: Add butter mixture to dry mixture. Stir until just combined.
Step 5: Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 6: Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown around edges. Remove from oven and let set for 1 minute before transferring to cooling rack.
Makes 20 cookies.
