Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe

This chocolate buttercream frosting recipe is one of the best that we have tried, with a great creamy rich flavor!

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup salted butter, softened
1 pinch of salt
1 1/2 ounce squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Medium bowl
Microwave safe small bowl

Step 1: In a microwave safe small bowl, melt baking chocolate on medium-high setting until smooth and creamy; set aside to cool.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, with an electric mixer set at medium-high setting cream together sugar, butter, and salt until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Add milk, melted chocolate , and vanilla extract. Beat until well blended.

Makes about 1 cup of frosting.
