Chocolate Butter Cream Bars Recipe

The chocolate butter cream bars recipe is a rich flavored no-bake recipe, all you will need is a saucepan and a bowl. The crust layer is loaded with chocolate, coconut, graham crackers, and nuts. The middle layer is a creamy mixture of butter and sugar. Lastly, it is topped by a layer of chocolate glaze!

 

Ingredients
Crust:
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup Half & Half
1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

Middle layer:
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Half & Half

Chocolate Glaze:
2 tablespoons salted butter
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons Half & Half
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 – 1 cup powdered sugar

Hardware
Large bowl
1-quart saucepan
2-quart saucepan
8×8-inch baking pan
Mixer

Step 1: In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Cook at medium heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted>
Step 2: Remove from heat. Stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/4 cup Half & Half, graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and chopped walnuts. Press mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 8×8-inch baking pan; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup, 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons Half & Half. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Spread evenly over crust. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 5: In a 1-quart saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons corn syrup, and 2 tablespoons Half & Half. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted.
Step 6: Stir in enough powdered sugar for desired spreading consistency. Spread evenly over filling layer. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
