1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups chopped maraschino cherries
1 1/3 cup raisins

step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer set on medium-high for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 5: Beat in vanilla extract.
Step 6: Beat flour mixture into butter mixture.
Step 7: Stir in walnuts, cherries, and raisins.
Step 8: Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 9: Bake for 16-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer cookies to cooling surface.
